The Ottawa Senators have entered into a multi-year partnership with LPGA star Brooke Henderson the club announced Wednesday.
Henderson, who is the most decorated Canadian golfer in major professional tour history, hails from Smiths Falls, just outside the National Capital region. The 26 year old has appeared at multiple Senators related events over the years, and is a self declared fan of the team.
“We are so happy to collaborate with Brooke on this partnership,” said Ottawa Senators owner Michael Andlauer. “Brooke’s spirit, values and determination embody what our Ottawa-Gatineau community is all about.”
“I’m super excited to team up and partner with the Senators. It’s such a cool opportunity. Growing up, I played hockey, I watched hockey and I always cheered for the Sens, so it feels like a perfect fit,” said Henderson. “I’m very proud to do it and show everybody who I’m cheering for and where my love is.”
As part of the agreement, Henderson’s water bottles, and golf towels will prominently feature the Senators logo while competing on tour. Additionally, both Brooke and her sister Brittany, who serves as her caddie, will wear Ottawa Senators team colours one day per tournament as well.
Currently ranked 22nd in the world, Henderson will continue to appear at Senators related community events as her schedule permits over the coming years as well.
Financial terms of the partnership were not immediately made public.
