2022-23 NHL All-Star List

The first 32 players, one representing each NHL franchise, for the 2022-23 All-Star Game were revealed Thursday night during the Capitals vs. Blue Jackets game.

The league’s annual showcase event will take place on February 3rd & 4th in Sunrise, Florida, with the All-Star game once again being a 3v3 contest between the 4 divisions.

New this year, the league changed the All-Star selection format and fan voting involvement. In the past, fans selected the 4 divisional captains with the league filling the remaining slots. This year, the NHL selected the first 32 participants, and will let the fans fill the final 3 spots for each division via online balloting.

Voting will run from January 12th to 14th, and will only include “active and eligible” NHL players. The league has created extensive fine print around the voting process to avoid another situation like the one involving John Scott in 2016.

In the event that a player wins the fan vote, but doesn’t meet the league’s criteria for All-Star eligibility, then they will move on to the player with the 2nd most votes for that division.

The 8 representatives from each division, as chosen by the league, are as follows:
