The San Jose Sharks and forward Collin Graf have come to terms on a new 3 year, $12.75M contract extension on Friday the club announced. The new deal will feature an average annual value of $4.25M and comes just days after the club signed forward Macklin Celebrini to a record setting extension of his own.
“Collin was a big part of our team’s improvement this past season, being an effective penalty killer for us and his versatility in the lineup was extremely valuable,” said GM Mike Grier. “His hard working attitude and work ethic is a big reason why his game took another stride last year, and he continues to be an important person in our young group of players. We’re happy we are able to keep him a Shark for the next several seasons.”
The 23 year old winger registered career highs in goals, assists, points, games played, and a slew of other offensive categories in his first full season at the NHL level. Prior to 2025-26, Graf had appeared in 40 contests with the Sharks split between 2023-24 / 2024-25.
A star forward at Quinnipiac University, the native of Lincoln, MA was an undrafted free agent signing by San Jose that has paid off big time for the west coast franchise. Graf finished his collegiate career with 130 points (54G, 76A) across 112 games played.
Graf will look to help a young Sharks squad contend for a postseason berth this fall as San Jose hopes to return to the playoffs for the first time since the 2018-19 campaign.
