Liam Coen takes over as Head Coach, replacing Doug Pederson, and is joined by a new General Manager, James Gladstone. Gladstone was officially named GM on February 21, 2025, following the departure of Trent Baalke on January 22, 2025. This change in the front office leadership is widely reported to have been a factor in securing Coen, who allegedly expressed reservations about working with the previous GM. Owner Shad Khan has given Coen and Gladstone the mandate to revitalize the franchise.  

Coen, most recently the offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2024, brings a fresh offensive philosophy, influenced by his time with Sean McVay. He’s publicly stated his coaching philosophy is encapsulated by the acronym F.A.S.T.: Fundamentally sound, Attacking, Situational masters, and Toughness. He aims to instill a physical and mentally tough identity, particularly emphasizing a significant improvement in the running game, much like he helped orchestrate a resurgence in Tampa Bay’s ground attack in 2024.

To help implement his vision, Coen has assembled a new staff. Grant Udinski steps in as the Offensive Coordinator, and Anthony Campanile takes over as the Defensive Coordinator. Heath Farwell is the new Special Teams Coordinator. These hires signal a comprehensive overhaul of the coaching staff, bringing in fresh perspectives and schemes designed to maximize the potential of a talented but underperforming roster.
