The Baltimore Ravens have come to terms on a 3 year contract extension with head coach John Harbaugh, keeping him tied to the team through the 2028 NFL campaign.
Harbaugh was entering the final season of his current deal, but will now have some job certainty heading into the 2025 season. The second longest tenured head coach in the league is also Baltimore’s all-time winningest coach in franchise history sporting a 185-115 record over the past 17 seasons.
Currently sporting a .617 win percentage (including playoffs), Harbaugh has helped guide the Ravens to 6 AFC North titles, 4 trips to the AFC Championship game, and a Super Bowl title. The 2019 NFL coach of the year currently sits 10th all-time on the list of years spent with one franchise in league history.
The Ravens are coming off a 12-5 finish last season and own the No. 27 overall pick in the upcoming 2025 NFL draft. The club has featured a top 10 scoring offence and top 10 scoring defence in each of the last two NFL seasons.
The deal comes on the heels of the club re-signing starting left tackle Ronnie Stanley and acquiring veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins in free agency to help bolster their offence. The 62 year old will now be tasked with getting the team over the hump in the ultra-competitive AFC playoff picture after bowing out earlier than anticipated in both of the past two postseasons.
