Pacers Lose Isaiah Jackson To Torn Achilles

The Indiana Pacers confirmed that big man Isaiah Jackson would miss the remainder of the 2024-25 NBA season due to a torn Achilles tendon suffered in the 4th quarter of the team’s Friday night loss to New Orleans.

Jackson landed awkwardly after attempting to block a shot, and had to be helped off the court. The 22 year old is set to undergo surgery on his right leg on Monday.

Jackson is in the final season of his rookie contract after coming over from Los Angeles via trade. Unfortunately for Indiana, he’s now the second Pacers big man lost for the season due to a torn Achilles after James Wiseman suffered an Achilles tear October 23rd in the team’s season opener.

As a result, the Pacers will likely now be forced to explore the free agent/trade market for front court depth behind Myles Turner as they’re quickly becoming thin up front. Hampered by injuries, Indiana has been sluggish out of the gate, stumbling to a 2-4 record through the first 6 games of the season.

The team will look to right the ship Monday night when they travel to Dallas to take on the reigning Western Conference champions.
