With a pivotal game seven on the horizon against the Edmonton Oilers, the Vancouver Canucks will need to find a way to win without star forward Brock Boeser who will be out due to a blood clotting issue.
The clotting problem, which isn’t believed to be life threatening, will sideline Boeser for at least the next contest, and possibly longer should his team advance. The 27 year old has 7 goals and 5 assists across 12 playoff appearances this season, which is tied for the team lead with J.T. Miller.
With a date with the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference finals on the line, Vancouver will need to overcome the loss of both their top goal scorer from the regular season and playoffs as well as the continued absence of their number 1 goaltender. While official lineups have yet to be released, it’s expected that Arturs Silovs will tend the twine for the Canucks as Thatcher Demko continues to recover from injury.
Edmonton will look to complete the comeback in their series when the two clubs square off at 9pm ET.
