Christian Pulisic Could Be On The Move

Reports: Chelsea ready to offload Christian Pulisic

Chelsea are considering a sale of star winger Christian Pulisic as early as January, according to latest reports.

The USMNT strong showing in the World Cup continues to draw rave reviews, while also raising questions regarding his treatment at Chelsea. The 24-year-old’s winner that saw his national side sail through to the knockout stages of the ongoing FIFA World Cup took the roof off.

The former Borussia Dortmund attacker has looked like a completely different player from the man who’s only mustered one Premier League goal this season across 13 appearances, 10 of which have come from the bench.

Recent stories have also suggested talks between the player and club are at crossroads. Pulisic’s contract expires in 2024, and as far as Chelsea are concerned, this would be the right time to offload him if they believe in it, as the stocks continue to rise with USMNT in the round-of-16.

The Blues would be willing to entertain offers ranging between €30-35 million for the man they signed in 2019.

Pulisic’s torrid time at Chelsea is being closely monitored by several clubs in England and Europe. The likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle United are set to have a three-way battle, whereas Juventus seem interested in snapping him up as well.

Todd Boehly’s Chelsea are a team full of match-winners on paper. Reality however portrays an unsettled squad full of players with contract issues.

The front office has managed to tie down academy graduates Armando Broja and Trevoh Chalobah to long-term deals. Mason Mount has yet to commit to his next contract, while time is running out for the injured N’Golo Kante and Jorginho. Hakim Ziyech is another Chelsea player on the list, having shone brightly for Morocco but finding it difficult to break into Graham Potter’s first XI.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have all but signed Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig, with only final procedures left to be signed off.

They’re expected to be very busy in the next couple of transfer windows. Having already beefed up their recruitment team, Chelsea are set to announce the scouting genius in Christopher Vivell as technical director – the same man responsible for luring Erling Haaland to RB Salzburg during his time in Austria.
