Likely European Transfers This Summer

Where there’s smoke there’s usually fire. And with transfer season heating up, here are a few of the deals which seem destined to be completed in the coming days.

Frenkie de Jong – Barcelona to Manchester United

The Frenkie de Jong saga is likely going to carry on for some time. Firstly, the transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano, has already stated how a 60m euros deal was turned down by Barcelona and how the player himself is not keen on the move.

As time has gone on, however, it looks as if de Jong is slowly moving towards becoming one of Erik ten Hag’s first signings at Old Trafford to spark the reunion of the two and fellow former Ajax star, Donny van de Beek.

Given United’s desire to save every cent they’ve got, and how Barcelona need every drop of cash just to survive, this is likely going to be a bit of a crazy one. However, it does look as if all parties are on the same level.

Romelu Lukaku – Chelsea to Inter

Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea might just be the worst transfer in football history considering how much he cost. The Belgian was on top of the world when he joined Chelsea, talking about how he’s supported the club his whole life and has dreamed of this moment for so long.

The striker got off to a great start as well, kissing the badge on his first bunch of goals and instantly becoming a fan favorite at Stamford Bridge. Fast forward a few months into the season, and Lukaku was dropped because of poor form. Then, in what can only be described as barbaric to his own career and status at Chelsea, Lukaku came out of nowhere to do an interview with Sky Italia on how he wants to rejoin Inter. It now looks as if this is set to go ahead, with reports in England suggesting a bid is on the table.

It’s been a whirlwind year for Lukaku, and all he has done is once again lose fans and further tarnash his own name. For £100m, it might be the Premier League’s worst-ever piece of business.

Paulo Dybala – Juventus to Inter

Sticking with Inter, and we are likely to see the move of Paulo Dybala to their rivals over in Milan.

It is an extraordinary signing. Juventus, the usual kings of Italy, are now seeing their main man leave for a direct rival in the title race, and all this comes off the back of tears and emotion from Dybala and the club on his final day. All we’re saying is, he cannot love the club that much if he’s planning on leaving for free to a rival.

It does look as if he is now, however, all but an Inter player, with those already in the San Siro dressing room posting pictures of him on Instagram, and it seems as if we’re just waiting on an official announcement.
