Professional poker player Jared Bleznick has issued a $1M cash bounty to anyone who can provide him with an extremely rare LeBron James sports card.
The card in question is a 1/1 triple logoman LeBron James card, depicting him in a Cavs, Heat, and Lakers uniform. It’s only available in the 2020-21 Panini Flawless set, which is currently selling from anywhere from $10,000-$15,000 USD per box.
The super high end product offers buyers 10 cards, at least 8 of which have autographs, along with a relic and a diamond card. The cards themselves arrive in a briefcase rather than a cardboard box, reflecting the value of the product itself.
What’s unique about the bounty offered by Bleznick isn’t so much the price, but rather the fact that it’s for a card without an autograph on it. Many of the cards from the modern era which have been selling in excess of 7 figures have typically featured an on card auto, or a variation of an RPA (rookie-patch-auto). In this case however, the product features only the NBA logo from player worn jerseys.
The 2020-21 Flawless Triple Logoman insert will be the first of its kind in the series. The fact that it includes a player who is likely to become a first ballot unanimous hall of fame selection has collectors salivating at the thought of hitting the once in a lifetime card.
Bleznick obviously sees a future in which the potential $1M price tag will seem like a bargain compared to its resale value down the line. No stranger to sports cards himself, the poker pro purchased Legacy Sports Cards with his business partner Tom Marchese back in 2019.
Whether anyone has hit the 1/1 card yet, or if it’s still in a pack waiting to be opened remains to be seen.
