NFL Week 9 Power Rankings

If you’re anything like us, your survivor pools likely got wrecked in week 8 thanks to the Bengals reverting to their old ways against the Jets. Multiple back up QBs had strong performances, and some heavy favourites barely squeaked by with W’s on Sunday. See how it all affected their rankings below:

Team # R Reason
Green Bay Packers17-1Your new number 1. Hard to argue with the results. Since week 2 they’ve been firing on all cylinders.
Los Angeles Rams27-1Potent offense. Check. Scary defense. Check. Add an All-Pro at the trade deadline. Check.
Arizona Cardinals37-1Heartbreaking loss to the Packers, and an injury to Kyler Murray presents the teams first real adversity
Buffalo Bills45-2Is Buffalo the cream of the AFC crop at this point? Their challengers seem to be slipping by the wayside
Tampa Bay Buccaneers56-2Tampa Bay slips to 5 following their loss to the Saints, but this is still a dangerous team
Dallas Cowboys66-1Backup QBs got the job done in week 8. Unfortunately looks like Cleveland missed that memo…
Tennessee Titans76-2A gutsy win over the Colts sees them rise, but will be tough sledding without their RB1
New Orleans Saints85-2Massive win over the Bucs, but losing Jameis for the year hurts this offense big time.
Las Vegas Raiders95-2The off field issues continue to pile up for a Raiders team that’s doing their best to navigate a tough 2021
Baltimore Ravens105-2Baltimore holds steady at number 10 through their bye week.
Cincinnati Bengals115-3“But we beat Baltimore how are we behind them?” You lost to the Jets, you’re out of the top 10 this week
Kansas City Chiefs124-4KC should have lost on Monday night. But Andy Reid & Co. will take a bit of luck when they can get it.
Los Angeles Chargers134-3Everyone knows New England owns the Jets, but the Chargers record against them isn’t pretty either.
Pittsburgh Steelers144-3It wasn’t pretty but a win is a win, and Pittsburgh now gets the Bears at home this weekend.
Cleveland Browns154-4Sometimes you need to know when to sit. Baker playing through injury may have cost them last weekend
New England Patriots164-4Somehow, they’re still in the thick of things in the AFC playoff picture
Carolina Panthers174-4CMC returning either this week or next is a huge shot in the arm for an offense that’s struggled of late
Minnesota Vikings183-4Are the Vikings good but unlucky? Or bad but can beat the teams they’re supposed to?
Indianapolis Colts193-5Welcome to your Carson Wentz years Colts fans! You certainly got the full experience this weekend.
San Francisco 49ers203-4Jimmy G with multiple rushing TDs on the day, who would have thought?
Philadelphia Eagles213-5Hard to tell if Sirianni’s commitment to running the ball is a new trend or a by product of playing the Lions
Atlanta Falcons223-4Atlanta couldn’t must any kind of offense against the Panthers and are now without Ridley to boot.
Denver Broncos234-4Denver shipped off franchise icon Von Miller at the deadline. Are they sellers or contenders?
Seattle Seahawks243-5Nothing cures a losing streak like playing the Jacksonville Jaguars… Or Lions… Or Texans… Or Dolphins…
Chicago Bears253-5Justin Fields gave everyone a glimpse of what he’s capable of when not under a Nagy led scheme.
Washington Football Team262-6There’s not a lot going right in Washington these days. Their defense looks lost this year.
New York Jets272-5Raise your hand if the Jets wreaked havoc on your survivor pools this week
New York Giants282-6They had them… Until they didn’t…. A costly penalty negated a pick and earned them another loss vs. KC
Miami Dolphins291-7Brian Flores’ seat is getting hotter by the week. At least they can now move past Watson rumours.
Jacksonville Jaguars301-6If it’s true that you need to lose before you learn to win then Lawrence is getting a masterclass this year
Houston Texans311-7Tyrod Taylor is expected to start against the Dolphins. That’s a positive right?
Detroit Lions320-8With back to back road games against the Steelers/Browns coming up we may soon begin the 0-17 watch
