Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk will miss roughly 4 weeks with a wrist injury suffered on Monday against the Nashville Predators.
Tkachuk was cross checked into the boards in the contest and could be seen favouring his hand/wrist area immediately afterwards. While the 26 year old attempted to play through the pain, ultimately he was lifted from the contest midway through the 3rd period.
According to reports, the team is weighing options as to whether or not surgery will be required to correct the issue.
“He’s going to miss a significant amount of time,” head coach Travis Green said. “We’ll know more in the next 24 hours. We don’t know exactly, but it’s four weeks plus. We don’t know exactly.”
The former 1st round draft pick posted 29 goals, and 26 assists in 2024-25 to go along with 123 PIMs. He would go on to add another 7 points across 6 playoff games later that spring. Across 3 games thus far in 2025-26, Tkachuk had registered 3 assists and was a plus 1 on the year.
