The 2023 WNBA Playoffs officially kick off this evening with a double-header featuring Minnesota and Connecticut at 8pm ET, followed by Las Vegas and Chicago at 10pm ET.
The reigning WNBA champions, and number 1 overall seed Las Vegas Aces are favourites to once again win it all this fall. But the New York Liberty, who closed the year as the league’s hottest team are close at their heels after winning 8 of their final 10 regular season contests.
The league’s two powerhouses separated themselves from the pack early on, and never looked back over the course of the year. 2023 MVP Breanna Stewart (New York), Defensive Player of the Year A’ja Wilson (Vegas), and Sixth Woman of the Year Alysha Clark (Vegas) figure to lock horns at some point this postseason, which would make for an incredible conclusion to another remarkable WNBA campaign.
Here’s how the sports books have power ranked the remaining 8 clubs.
