Kolo Muani wanted in the Premier League
Eintracht Frankfurt’s star Randal Kolo Muani has been monitored by two Premier League clubs, as reported by several industry insiders. According to the journalist Santi Aouna, Liverpool and Tottenham are interested in adding the 24-year-old striker to their squad and are eyeing a possible offer to the French international.
Despite this being the first time that the red side from Liverpool look interested in signing the French player, Aouna reported that the Spurs have already shown their desire to have Kolo Muani last summer, but Eintracht Frankfurt’s offer was the one chosen by the player’s former team, FC Nantes. It was also reported that the German side will not accept any offer below €60 million.
Even though it looks like Kolo Muani is heading towards the prime of his career, he’s had a long journey before finally reaching his current status in the Bundesliga.
Three seasons ago, the French striker was defending the colors of US Boulogne, a fourth-division club in France, on loan from FC Nantes. After an interesting season with the fourth-tier team, he headed back to the North-Western club from France, where he had two successful seasons, and won the 2022 French Cup. Last summer, the footballer landed in Frankfurt, after the German powerhouse paid €16 million to sign the 24-year-old.
The French international has had an incredible season with the UEFA Europa League champions, where he’s scored eight goals and provided 11 assists in 23 games. Besides the excellent numbers with the German side, Kolo Muani was responsible for scoring the winning goal against Sporting last month, which sealed Frankfurt´s qualification to UEFA Champions League’s round of 16.
His solid performances with Eintracht gave the striker the opportunity to represent his country for the first time in his career last September, when he played the UEFA Nations League games against Austria and Denmark.
It seems that the forward knew how to use his opportunity with Les Bleus, as Didier Deschamps decided to call him to join France’s World Cup squad in Qatar to fill the gap left by Christopher Nkunku after his departure. In Doha, the Frankfurt striker has been making his mark on the pitch as his side has now reached the semi-finals.
