The Philadelphia Eagles and head coach Nick Sirianni have come to terms on a new multi-year extension which will keep him on the sidelines at Lincoln Financial Field for the foreseeable future.
While financial terms of the deal were not made publicly available, the extension itself comes as no surprise to those who follow the team. Owner Jeffrey Lurie had previously told reporters that the club and Sirianni were working on a long term deal as recently as last month.
The 43 year old coach was set to enter the final year of his contract, originally signed in 2021 when he took over head coaching duties from Doug Pederson.

Nick has embodied everything we were looking for in a head coach since we hired him four years ago. His authentic style of leadership, football intelligence, passion for the game, and growth mindset have helped to bring out the best in our team. I am excited for what the future holds for the Philadelphia Eagles.”
With a 48-20 record with the Eagles (.706 Win %) and two Super Bowl appearances, including a decisive win against the Kansas City Chiefs, Sirianni has had a tremendous start to his NFL coaching career.
Still, the native of Jamestown, NY faced scrutiny based on how his team finished the 2023 campaign, and how they began their 2024 slate. However, the combination of a strong 2024 draft class and hiring Vic Fangio as defensive coordinator allowed the team to rebound following their bye week, and close out the season as the hottest team in the NFL.
Philadelphia will open their 2025 NFL slate with preseason games against the Bengals, Browns, and Jets, before they open their regular season with a primetime game on September 4th vs. the Dallas Cowboys.
