Caitlin Clark Breaks Record with $366,000 Sale of Autographed Rookie Card, Setting New Benchmark for Women’s Sports Memorabilia
A one-of-a-kind Caitlin Clark rookie card shattered the record for the highest-priced women’s sports card ever sold, fetching an astonishing $366,000 in a Goldin auction. The card—a 2024 Panini Prizm WNBA Gold Vinyl 1/1 autographed rookie—now stands as the most valuable women’s sports card of all time, eclipsing the previous record of $266,400 set by a Serena Williams autograph patch card in 2022.
The card received a PSA 10 rating on the card, and a PSA 10 rating on the autograph as well, making the ultra-rare card a Gem Mint graded collectible.
The sale is just the latest milestone in a meteoric rise for Clark’s trading cards, which have consistently dominated the women’s basketball market. Over the past year, her most coveted cards have driven record-breaking sales, reflecting not only her on-court excellence but also her off-court cultural impact. Prior to the most recent auction, the highest price paid for a Clark card was $234,850 for another one-of-one card from the 2024 Panini Select WNBA Gold Vinyl autograph series, sold in December.
The Panini Prizm line is widely considered the flagship brand for WNBA collectors, making this particular autographed one-of-one card the crown jewel of Clark’s rookie offerings. While earlier record-setting Clark cards were from Panini’s Select series, this Prizm card’s emergence on the market was all but guaranteed to set a new high water mark.
The top five most expensive Caitlin Clark cards are now:
- 2024 Panini Prizm WNBA Signatures Gold Vinyl (2025) – $366,000
- 2024 Panini Select WNBA Signatures Gold Vinyl (2024) – $234,850
- 2024 Panini Select WNBA Gold Vinyl Prizm (2025) – $105,326.26
- 2024 Panini Select WNBA Signatures Black Finite Prizm (2024) – $97,600
- 2024 Panini Instant Rookie of the Year Blue Viper Autograph (2024) – $97,212.54
Clark’s influence extends far beyond her rarest cards. In February, she ranked among the top five most searched athletes on eBay—across all sports, men’s and women’s. Her base rookie cards from the Prizm and Select sets were the six most transacted basketball cards between mid-February and mid-March, according to Market Movers, surpassing many of the top names from the NBA.
Even as the WNBA remains in its offseason, Caitlin Clark’s market momentum shows no signs of slowing. Her cards remain some of the most sought-after in the hobby, drawing attention from traditional collectors and new fans alike.
Clark and the new look Fever roster kick off their 2025 regular season on Saturday May 17th against the Chicago Sky in a 3pm ET showdown.
