LPGA Preparing Record $131M In Prizing For 2025

The LPGA has announced that the 2025 season will feature a record $131M in prizing up for grabs across its 33-event schedule next year.

In time for the association’s 75th anniversary, golfers will kick off the year on Jan 30th for the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions in Orlando, FL, and wrap things up on November 23rd at the CME Group Tour Championship in Naples, FL.

The CME Group Tour Championship will boast a record setting $11M purse, $4M of which is earmarked for the winner. The $131M figure represents a 90% increase in purse money since 2021, signalling a strong future for women’s professional golf.

“The 2024 season was another year of historic growth for the LPGA Tour, and with this 2025 schedule we will continue to improve on that growth,” LPGA commissioner Mollie Marcoux Samaan said in a prepared statement. “This schedule is highlighted by two exciting new events, a new multi-year title for the longest-running non-major tournament on the LPGA Tour, even higher purse sizes, increased benefits that will enhance the athlete experience, improved geographical flow and a longer offseason that will give our athletes a well-deserved rest after their tremendous work in 2024.”

Also of note, 24 of the 33 events will also feature travel stipends, free accommodations, and guaranteed minimum payouts, adding additional value to those who finish outside the top 10.
