The newly formed United Football League has unveiled its full 43-game schedule, with plans to kickoff the inaugural season on March 30th.
The UFL was formed when the XFL and USFL opted to merge following their respective 2023 campaigns in an effort to consolidate funding and put out a better product for fans. All in all, teams will now play a 10 game schedule, featuring 5 home and 5 away games, however will practice in a central location near Dallas.
That model follows the framework of the XFL’s previous agreement with the NFL to essentially act as a spring “testing ground” for new rules, and to help develop future NFL players. Opening night will feature a showdown between the USFL champion Birmingham Stallions and the XFL champion Arlington Renegades at Choctaw Stadium in Arlington, TX.
Other teams that will carry over from the previous leagues into the new UFL include the San Antonio Brahmas, St. Louis Battlehawks, and DC Defenders from the old XFL, and the Houston Roughnecks, Michigan Panthers, and Memphis Showboats from the now defunct USFL.

“We can’t wait to kick off the United Football League’s inaugural season and showcase the league’s exceptional on-the-field play to football fans across the country,” said Bill Wanger, FOX Sports EVP, Head of Programming & Scheduling. “Perhaps most critically, this new partnership brings unprecedented distribution for spring football with nearly three-quarters of games airing on broadcast television. It is a testament to the collaborative efforts of the league office, media partners and host cities to maximize exposure to contribute to the UFL’s success.”
