The Cincinnati Bengals are set to receive a boost to their offense on Monday night as the team is set to travel to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars.
Wide receiver Tee Higgins, who has been dealing with hamstring and ankle issues the last several weeks, has been removed from the club’s injury report for the Week 13 showdown. The 24 year old sustained a hamstring injury in practice in Week 10 and has sat out contests against the Texans, Ravens and Steelers, all of which resulted in losses for the Bengals.
Across 7 games this season, Higgins has recorded 27 receptions for 328 yards and 2 TDs, although those numbers came with Joe Burrow under centre. With Burrow out for the year following wrist surgery, the speedy wideout will now look to build chemistry with backup quarterback Jake Browning.
Currently playing out the final season of a 4 year/$8.6M contract, Higgins still has plenty to play for, despite Cincinnati’s dwindling playoff hopes. The former Clemson wideout is set to become one of the most coveted free agent pass catchers on the 2024 market alongside Bucs WR Mike Evans, and Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr.
On the other side of the ball, Cincinnati’s defense will also receive a boost as head coach Zac Taylor announced linebacker Logan Wilson (ankle/foot) will also play. CB Cam Taylor-Britt however will sit after spraining his ankle in practice this week.
