NBA Best Bets

Happy Monday, basketball fans! Nick Marro here, providing you with my best bets for today’s (11/28) NBA slate. I plan to provide these ‘Nick’s Picks’ articles about twice a week for the entirety of the 2022-2023 season. I don’t like playing heavy juice, so all of my picks will be priced at line of (-150) or better. Feel free to reach out to me on Twitter with any questions.

We turned in an ugly 1-2 record last time out, so we fell to 10-11 on the young season. We have a solid slate of NBA action tonight, so I’m eager to see if we can bounce back and reverse this momentum.

MLB Season Record: (57-51)

NBA Season Record: (10-11)

Overall 2022 Bets Record: (67-62)

Oklahoma City Thunder @ New Orleans Pelicans @ 8:00 EST
Nick’s Pick: Game Total, Over 232 Points (-110)

The Oklahoma City Thunder has seen the game total hit the Over in 70% of their games played this season. This is the highest percentage in the NBA. The New Orleans Pelicans rank 4th in the NBA with 58% of their games played hitting the Over.

The Thunder rank 6th in the NBA in Pace. The Pelicans rank 2nd in the NBA in Offensive Efficiency. The game total has gone Over in nine of the Thunder’s last ten games played. We’re looking at a massive 232 point total here, but these are two of the better teams to back on the Over so far this season. I’ll take the game total hitting the Over here (-110).

Phoenix Suns @ Sacramento Kings @ 10:00 EST

Nick’s Pick: Game Total, Under 232.5 Points (-110)

The Phoenix Suns have seen the total stay Under in 61.1% of their games played so far this season (7-11-1). The Sacramento Kings have seen the total stay Under in 53% of their games played (8-9-1).

The total has stayed Under in each of the last three Kings games played as well as each of the last three Suns games played. In three of the last four games these teams have met, the game total stayed Under. This game has one of the highest totals on the slate tonight at 232.5 points. I like the Under here (-110).

Indiana Pacers @ Los Angeles Lakers @ 10:30 EST
Nick’s Pick: Los Angeles Lakers, ATS, -2 (-110)

The Lakers have been rounding into form, as they have covered the spread in each of their last four games played. Additionally, the Lakers are 6-1 Against the Spread (ATS) in their last seven Home games played against the Pacers.

The Pacers started the season strong, but they now rank 21st in Turnover Ratio and 18th in Defensive Efficiency.  Both Lebron James and Anthony Davis are currently listed as Questionable for the Lakers. I expect both to play, but as long as one of them is available they should be able to comfortably cover this two point spread at Home (-110).
