NBA Best Bets

Happy Sunday, basketball fans! Nick Marro here, providing you with my best bets for today’s (11/27) NBA slate. I plan to provide these ‘Nick’s Picks’ articles about twice a week for the entirety of the 2022-2023 season. I don’t like playing heavy juice, so all of my picks will be priced at line of (-150) or better. Feel free to reach out to me on Twitter with any questions.

We turned in an ugly 0-3 record last time out, so we fell to an even 9-9 on the young season. We have a solid slate of NBA action tonight, so I’m eager to see if we can bounce back and reverse this momentum.

MLB Season Record: (57-51)

NBA Season Record: (9-9)

Overall 2022 Bets Record: (66-60)

Indiana Pacers @ Los Angeles Clippers @ 4:00 EST
Nick’s Pick: Indiana Pacers, ATS, -1 (-110)

The Indiana Pacers have a solid 12-6 record Against the Spread (ATS) this season, including a 5-2 record ATS on the Road. In spite of low preseason expectations, they rank 9th in the NBA in Offensive Efficiency, and 12th in Effective Field Goal percentage.  They’ve won four of their last five games played on the Road.

The Los Angeles Clippers are still missing their two best players in Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. They have a shaky 4-7 Home record ATS this season and are coming off back-to-back losses. They currently rank 29th in the NBA in Turnover Ratio.

I like the Pacers to secure the Win here, so there is clear value on them covering the 1 point spread as favorite on the Road (-110).

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Detroit Pistons @ 8:00 EST

Nick’s Pick: Game Total, Over 222 Points (-110)

The Detroit Pistons have seen the game total go over in 60% of their games played so far this season, including 71.4% in their games played at Home. The Cavaliers have seen the total go over in 53% of their games played.

The Pistons rank 30th in the NBA in Defensive Efficiency. The Cavaliers have seen the total hit the over in 75% of their last eight games played against Detroit. We’re seeing a reasonable 220 point total here. I like the Over (-110).

Dallas Mavericks @ Milwaukee Bucks @ 8:00 EST
Nick’s Pick: Milwaukee Bucks, ATS, -6 (-110)

The Milwaukee Bucks are 11-7 Against the Spread (ATS) this season, with an 8-4 record ATS at Home. They also rank first in the NBA in Defensive Efficiency.

The Mavericks are a talented team, but they have the worst record in the NBA Against the Spread at just 4-13-1. Luka Doncic has been one of the best guards in the NBA, but he’s in a tough spot here against a potent Bucks backcourt defense led by Jrue Holiday.

The Bucks have the best Rebounding Rate in the NBA and the Mavericks rank 28th. This should be a fun and competitive game, but I expect the Bucks to cover the 6 point spread at Home (-110).
