Week 1 of the NFL season is in the books, and it was a wild one to boot. As is tradition, Kyle Skinner’s “lock of the week” fell in Week 1 as the Colts tied the lowly Houston Texans and then promptly cut Rodrigo Blankenship as the scapegoat for their early season ineffectiveness.
Meanwhile, the Bengals and Steelers went back and forth in a game that neither team seemed to be able to win down the stretch, and the Chicago Bears won the inaugural “Hurricane Bowl” at Soldier Field.
When the dust settled, Kyle Kirkwood’s lock of the week (Ravens over Jets) double point game was the difference as he went up 2 pts over Kyle Skinner through the opening week of the season.
A quick reminder of the format as the boys will be picking no spreads, just straight up winner take all for each contest on the Sunday slate from Week 1 until Wildcard Weekend. We’ll track their records throughout the season to crown one Kyle superior at NFL prognostication than the other. They’ll also each give their “lock of the week” game, which will be worth 2 pts in the standings (however they can’t use the same team twice as their lock).
So without further ado, here are their picks for Week 2:
