The fallout from the NWSL scandal continues. According to the Washington Post, Larry Best has resigned from his front office position with the Spirits organization. Best previously served as President of Sporting Operations in DC. He recently came under scrutiny in the wake of allegations of abuse and misconduct across the NWSL which made national headlines over the past few weeks.
To date, four NWSL coaches and several executives have either been fired or resigned from their positions as a result of allegations of misconduct levied by current and former players. At the moment FIFA, the NWSL, the players association and the US Soccer Federation are all conducting investigations into the claims.

Soccer superstars across the globe have been vocal in their condemnation of the league and support of current and former players.

The Players Association responded 3 days later with a list of 8 demands and issued a deadline of Oct. 13th for the league to implement them:
As allegations continue to pile up, the future of the NWSL soccer is officially in doubt. Whether it makes sense to continue with the league as is, meet all the player demands and enact sweeping change, or simply tear it down and start anew remains to be seen.
