Veteran wide receiver Josh Gordon has filed for reinstatement with the NFL. In a letter to commissioner Roger Goodell, Gordon laid out his plan and hopes to join a training camp this summer.
The embattled wide receiver signed a 1 year deal with Seattle prior to last season, and had hoped to join the team down the stretch. However reports indicate he suffered a setback, and ultimately never suited up for an NFL team. Should the league reinstate him, he would become a free agent this year.
Since his breakout 2013 campaign which saw him catch 9 TD’s and lead the league with 1646 receiving yards, Josh has appeared in only 33 games at the NFL level. The NFL has officially suspended him 6 times since 2013.
It’s unclear at the moment how many suitors the former all-pro wideout would garner should the league reinstate him.
