The Tennessee Titans and offensive lineman Peter Skoronski have come to terms on a record setting 4 year, $100M extension which will make him the highest paid guard in the NFL.
The pact will feature $88M in guaranteed money and will tie him to the franchise through the 2031 NFL season. Originally selected 11th overall by the Titans in 2023, Skoronski was the only player on the team to take 100% of the club’s offensive snaps in 2025.
Not only was he a hallmark of durability last season, but his 96% pass block win rate ranked him 4th across the NFL amongst interior linemen.
“This is a tremendous blessing. It’s a reflection of the work, sacrifice and support that has helped me get to this point, and I don’t take any of it for granted,” Skoronski said in a statement. “Thank you to Ms. Amy, Mike Borgonzi and Coach Saleh for believing in me. From the moment I got here, this is where I wanted to be. I love this organization, I love this city, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue representing this franchise.”
Tennessee picked up Skoronski’s 5th year option earlier this year, but both sides had been adamant about working towards a long term deal. The 25 year old becomes the latest lineman in Nashville to ink a long term deal, following in the footsteps of DT Jeffery Simmons who signed a 3 year, $105.8M extension back in June.
“We couldn’t be happier to keep Peter in Nashville. The goal will always be to retain people and players who are cornerstones of our organization, and Peter is certainly that for us,” general manager Mike Borgonzi said in a statement. “He has the work ethic to match his talent and a perpetual desire to win that we want permeating throughout our building. We’re excited to enter the season knowing he and his family will remain Titans for years to come.”
The Titans will see some massive changes to their offence in 2026. Not only will they have a new head coach in Robert Saleh, but they’ll also have Brian Daboll taking over the offensive coordinator role as well. The team also brought in Austin Schlottmann and Cordell Volson to bolster their offensive line, and drafted guard Fernando Carmona (ARK), and centre Pat Coogan (IND) as well.
Those changes figure to help keep QB Cam Ward upright more often in 2026, while also opening up holes for Tony Pollard, Tyjae Spears, and Nicholas Singleton to run through as well.
